Death didn't seem so bad at this point. The Amarian girl thought as she laid on the cold ground, staring up at the cieling. The lights above her head flickered before her eyes, causing shadows to die and revive around the room. Am-ra laid there for what felt like hours. It wasn't from fatigue either. Her head felt groggy, like she had just woken up from an effect other than sleep. She struggled to remember how she got here.
Drugs...it had to be drugs. It must have been put in the water. Something...however she got here, it wasn't where she wanted to be...where was she even? She sat up and looked around. A shitty room in what looked like a shitty basement. Her clothing was intact, but her weapons were missing. Damn. Her thoughts were cut off when she heard foot steps approaching. She laid back down and closed her eyes.
"I'm tellin' ya. She's not going to wake up any time soon." A male voice. It was moving closer. The door slid open at the command of the men outside. The group moved inside. She couldn't see them, but she knew where they were as they dispersed. Three of them. Two moved at her feet and the third at her head. "Dumb girl...rich, pretty."
She took that as an insult. Dumb? Hardly. She wasn't going to take that. Quickly, without them expecting so, she lifted her leg and thrust it at the man's shin. There was a crack as her boot connected and a cry of pain from the man. She moved her leg over to hit the other man on the side of the knee. A cry of pain from another connected blow. The third man reached down to grab Am-ra. He wasn't as well trained as most she had fought. She curled her legs upwards and grabbed his head between her legs. She rolled forward, pulling the man with her and flipping him over onto the ground. The other two were recovering from their injuries and reaching for their weapons. Am-ra was faster though. She grabbed the third man's side arm from his leg holster as he was hurled over her and slid it out. She clicked the safety off on the side and squeezed the trigger once then twice, sending one shot at each man from the pistol. They both fell to the ground from the wounds. Am-ra held the man's head between her legs and squeezed, crushing the man's throat and depriving him of oxygen.
The man desperately tried to reach back and attack the girl as he suffocated. Slowly, his struggling became weaker as the life drained from his body. Soon, he fell limp. Am-ra released the man and pushed herself up. There couldn't have only been three people. Where was the back up though? Someone should have shown up by now. She checked each man for more ammo. A few extra magazines. She tucked them into the pockets of her jacket and proceeded to the door.
She leaned outside, checking the hallway opposite of the side she was leaning against, and then turned to face down the other side, keeping the weapon sighted as she did. It seemed clear. She cursed under her breath. She should have questioned the man on how to get out of here. No use in talking to corpses. They usually didn't talk back. Sticking around wasn't going to get her anywhere. She had to keep moving. She moved down the hall quickly, but quietly. As she reached the end of the hallway she hit the keypad on the door. The door slid open and she moved into the room. There was a man sitting at a desk halfway through sipping coffee and watching the TV across the room. It looked like a reception area. The man stared at Am-ra in surprise and fear. "Uhh...Don't shoot?"
Am-ra began to wonder if the man even knew she was here. Probably not. She tried to gather some clues from the room to pinpoint were she was. Seemed like a commercial storage unit center. The group probably rented the unit out and didn't clue the receptionist on what was being stored inside. Am-ra clicked the safety on the weapon on and slid the handgun into the back of her pants. "I was never here, got it?"
The man nodded, still holding the coffee at the same level as when she entered the room. She moved to the exit of the building and opened the door, stepping outside. She was still in a station. Everything still looked Gallente enough. Where ever they had taken her, it wasn't far from where they had picked her up at. Am-ra wanted to get as far away from the building as possible. She got moving. Without a clue as to where she was going, she just moved. Hopefully to a large crowd, some where to disappear. She couldn't see anyone behind her, but she figured who ever the group was, they had someone tailing her now. Probably waiting for more guys to show up. More than she would like to handle. She made her way to a more populated sector of the station. Shopping, bars, recreational areas. Not for her to relax it, but somewhere for her to blend in. As she moved through the denser area, she spotted the tail behind her. Craning his head around people, trying to keep his eye on her.
He seemed like a rookie enough. She wanted to kill him, but in such a populated area. It would have attracted too much attention. Law enforcement would be all over a public killing. She just needed to vanish. Which she did. She found a large crowd and with a blink of the man's eye. She was gone. Am-ra watched from her vantage point to see him run over to where he last saw her and frantically turn around searching. Almost letting a chuckle slip as the man looked so perplexed at what had just happened. He would have to take a guess at where she went, which he did. He ran off in search of her, and she went the other way.
